Michael Blackburn

Michael Blackburn was born in Provo, Utah, to Gerald and Margaret Blackburn. Growing up in the city of Costa Mesa, California, and is the oldest of five siblings.


Following his high school graduation, Michael pursued his passion for healthcare, earning a degree in Pre-Med Health Sciences from Orange Coast College. Fueled by a desire to serve others, he embarked on a Spanish-speaking mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the great state of Texas.


His dedication to public service led him to a distinguished twenty-year career in the LA County Sheriff's Department, where he exhibited unwavering commitment and integrity in upholding the law.


Outside of his professional duties, Michael devoted over two decades to the Boy Scouts of America, leaving an indelible mark on countless young lives through mentorship and leadership.


In 1993, Michael's life was blessed when he crossed paths with Barbara Forbes, whom he later married in 1994. Michael has a daughter and two sons.


With a thirst for adventure and a keen interest in aviation, Michael dedicated thirteen years to the aviation world before a longing to prioritize family led him to explore new horizons.


Finding solace and purpose in the funeral service industry, Michael embraced the opportunity to spend more time at home while continuing to serve others during times of grief and loss.


An avid enthusiast of family time and outdoor pursuits, Michael finds joy in mechanics, immersing himself in construction and woodworking projects, and indulging in cycling, hiking, and exploring the great outdoors.


Known for his unwavering work ethic, selflessness, and willingness to lend a helping hand, Michael embodies the spirit of service in all facets of his life, enriching the lives of those around him through his kindness, dedication, and genuine compassion.
